2016 VW Passat release date

With the release of 2016 model year vehicles in full swing, it’s great time to check out what’s new on the 2016 VW Passat when compared to its 2015 VW Passat predecessor, and also narrow in on the 2016 VW Passat release date. For the new model year, Volkswagen has done an impressive overhaul of the appearance of the Passat as well as making a few changes in available technology and features. • New distinctive front and rear design with a new hood and front fenders, as well as revised grill and new front and rear bumpers.
• Updated instrument panel and center controls for a more luxurious feel.
• First appearance of available energy-efficient LED headlights and tailights on a VW sedan.
• Driver assistance systems become standard on select trim levels.
• Revised trim lineup, including the new R-Line trim available for the first time on a US Passat, allows greater choice and value to customers.

Especially exciting advances available on the new 2016 VW Passat are technology options like the second generation modular infotainment platform (MIB II). This system, through the touchscreen standard to all models, allows greater control of the vehicle’s infotainment capabilities. Most models will allow navigation through swiping and pinch-zooming for a more intuitive user experience. This system also allows the Volkswagen Car-Net system, which allows a variety of smartphone connectivity options.
