The 2017 model year marks five decades since the first 1967 Chevy Camaro muscle car was introduced. To celebrate, Chevrolet is producing a special anniversary edition of this fierce vehicle. 2017 Chevy Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition Release Date

The 2017 Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition will be available on 2LT and 2SS trim levels, and in either coupe or convertible body styles. Like every Camaro, it will feature the engaging handling, powerful engine, and supportive interior that helped name the 2016 Camaro one of Car and Driver Magazine’s 10Best Cars. This special edition will begin arriving in dealership showrooms later this summer.

50th Anniversary Exterior Style

The exterior of the 2017 Chevy Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition will be striking and aggressive. It will feature double orange stripes over a Nightfall Gray exterior, with orange brake calipers. Unique, 20-inch wheels will stand out against this dark background, and the center caps will say “Celebrating Fifty Years of Camaro” wrapped around the Chevrolet bow-tie emblem.

Camaro Interior Elegance

Inside, the 50th Anniversary Camaro will be black, with suede accents and orange accent stitching. It will include an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The advanced Magnetic Ride Control suspension system will also be available for smoother and more versatile driving and handling options.

Other 50th Anniversary Badging on the Special Edition Camaro

Specialty 50th Anniversary badging will also appear on the seatbacks, steering wheel, and illuminated sill plates of the 2017 Chevy Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition. All 2017 Chevy Camaro models will also feature a 50th Anniversary badge in honor of this half-century milestone.
