With a release date scheduled for sometime in spring of 2017, the 2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will change the way off-road enthusiasts drive, with its midsize dimensions, and top-of-the-line, go-anywhere design. Some high-value features of the new Colorado ZR2 model include segment-first Multimatic DSSV shocks with position-sensitive damping, the segment-exclusive available Duramax 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine, and both front and rear locking differentials.

How Is the 2017 Colorado ZR2 Different From a Standard Chevy Colorado?

While the 2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2 shares similar dimensions and some powertrain options with the standard Chevy Colorado, there will be differences. The ZR2 model will feature a wider track, which can allow more stability in irregular territory, and a lifted suspension for better maneuvering over rocky ground. Aggressive approach, breakover, and departure angles, skid plates, and 17-inch wheels give it a confident stance that isn’t afraid of any terrain. While the 2017 Chevy Colorado is an excellent midsize truck that can handle country roads, the ZR2 is a completely different beast that will be able to thrive in the wilderness where other trucks would completely fail.
