2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty Named 2016 Truck of Texas

The all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty boasts the same combined high-strength steel and military-grade aluminum construction as the Ford F-150, and that combination has paid off when it comes to capability. With a weight reduction of up to 350 pounds and a variety of segment-first features like adaptive cruise control and LED lighting, this heavy-duty pickup is designed to deliver top value on the work site or off the road.

The 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty took two awards at this year’s Texas Truck Rodeo: the coveted “Truck of Texas” honor and the “Heavy Duty Pickup Truck” award.

“We are honored to win the ‘Truck of Texas’ award as it underscores how the all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty lineup are the toughest, smartest and most capable trucks we’ve ever built,” said Doug Scott, Ford Truck Group Marketing Manager, in a recent Ford press release. “This prestigious award from the Texas Auto Writer’s Association further solidifies Ford’s truck leadership in Texas, where F-series continues to be the best-selling truck and builds on our momentum as the top-selling truck in the United States for 39 consecutive years.”

Ford Wins Best Powertrain at the Texas Truck Rodeo

Of course the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty wasn’t the only Ford truck to win at the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo. The 2017 Ford F-150 also won for “Best Powertrain” for its new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 (which, when mated to the new 10-speed automatic transmission, delivers awe-inspiring power and torque). Ford Motor Company also won overall as the “Truck Line of Texas”.
