When Will the 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 Be Available at Dealerships?

Built and assembled at the Volkswagen Chattanooga Plant, the updated 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 is expected to be available at dealerships in Early 2024. When it arrives at dealers, the Volkswagen ID.4 will be available in three standard grades – Standard/Pro, S and S Plus – with a price tag that has not yet been set. With the current platform, the Volkswagen ID.4 is eligible for a $7,500 Federal EV Tax Credit that makes the all-electric Volkswagen more affordable.

Updates and Changes to the 2024 Volkswagen ID.4

The latest edition of the Volkswagen ID.4 receives an upgrade in power, performance and range with an updated performance drive unit. The 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 will continue to provide a pair of all-electric battery options – 62-kWh and 82-kWh – that are available with RWD or AWD drivetrains. Volkswagen ID.4 entries that employ the 82-kWh battery pack will utilize an updated performance drive unit that will produce 282 horsepower with rear-wheel drive and 330 horsepower with the all-wheel drive platform. The current 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 AWD Pro with the 82-kWh battery pack provides drivers with 295 horsepower and an electric driving range of 255 miles – numbers that are expected to increase with the updated powertrain.  

The upgrades to the 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 do not end there. Volkswagen ID.4 models equipped with the 82-kWh battery pack will replace the standard 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a next-generation 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with backlit sliders and an updated climate control interface. Additional features that have been added to the Volkswagen ID.4 features list include available ventilated front seats, brand-new 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, 21-inch machined alloy wheels and an available 9-speaker Harman Kardon™ Audio System.
