It’s almost Thanksgiving! Are you ready for the big turkey day? One Thanksgiving tradition that has gotten more popular year after year is the turkey trot race. It’s an opportunity for local communities to gather on Thanksgiving to contribute to a charitable cause, get some exercise and have some fun! Does Green Bay have a turkey trot race?

Yes! Green Bay every year hosts the Festival Foods Turkey Trot! If you’re interested in participating in the 2018 Green Bay Festival Foods Turkey Trot, we’ve got all the information you need, right here! 

The Green Bay Festival Foods Turkey Trot actually has four different races for runners and walkers to participate in. There’s the five-mile run, the two-mile fun run, the two-mile walk and the Dog Jog! That’s right, you can even bring your four-legged best friend to the turkey trot! 

The race takes place on Thanksgiving morning (November 22nd) at precisely 8 a.m. The race begins at Shopko Hall, located at 1901 S. Oneida Street, and the course takes runners through Green Bay in the shadow of Lambeau Field! Keep in mind that there is a five-mile course and two-mile course, so make sure you’re lined up at the right one! 

How Do I Register for the Green Bay Turkey Trot? 

If you’re ready to get running, registering for the Green Bay Festival Foods Turkey Trot is easy! You can register online from now until November 18th with a $25 registration fee for adults and $20 fee for children (under 18). 

If you choose to register at the last minute, you can also do in-person registration the morning of the race as early as 6:30 a.m., or the night before (November 21st) at Shopko Hall from 2-6 p.m.  

Those already registered can also pick up their shirts and bibs at Shopko Hall on November 21st at the same time.
