Upgrades in the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas 

Atlas comes with its new iteration that has been simplified for easier access to the five trim levels. No other major changes have been made to the model besides a few tweaks to the equipment. Unlike its predecessor, the 2023 lineup starts with the base SE, which has now replaced the Atlas S. The latter has been dropped from the lineup. All trims above SE come equipped with a standard 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro instrument cluster. Barring these additions, the 2023 Atlas retains most of the features from the 2022 model. 

Performance Features of the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas 

Packed into the base Atlas models is a 235-hp four-cylinder engine, whereas the higher trims house a 276-hp V-6. However, both these powertrain options have been paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all- or front-wheel drive. While the V-6 appears more refined and quicker, the base variant offers better fuel economy ratings of 21 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
