There’s also the new 1.5-liter EcoBoost, which will up the efficiency with its debut of cylinder deactivation, which senses when one cylinder isn’t needed and shuts it down for better efficiency!

Way back in 2005, the Ford Escape was the world’s first hybrid SUV, but the Escape hasn’t had a hybrid version in years. Will the 2020 Ford Escape be different?

Yes! The 2020 Ford Escape will come with two brand-new hybrid choices—a standard hybrid and plug-in variant—that are perfect for those looking to save on efficiency.

Exact measurements aren’t available yet, but the standard hybrid is targeted to have a best-in-class EPA-estimated range of more than 550 miles and the plug-in looks to offer best-in-class EPA-estimated pure-electric range of 30+ miles!
