Especially exciting advances available on the new 2016 VW Passat are technology options like the second generation modular infotainment platform (MIB II). This system, through the touchscreen standard to all models, allows greater control of the vehicle’s infotainment capabilities. Most models will allow navigation through swiping and pinch-zooming for a more intuitive user experience. This system also allows the Volkswagen Car-Net system, which allows a variety of smartphone connectivity options.
