In this information age, having easy access to the internet is a major need for individuals and families. Fortunately, Chevrolet has made it even easier to stay connected. Thanks to OnStar connectivity, new car buyers have access to the world wide web and advanced navigation options. Currently, the prices for Chevy OnStar 4G LTE data plans are at an impressive low. Keep reading to learn more about this pricing and what Chevy vehicles have Wi-Fi capability.
Starting with this last 4th of July weekend, Chevy has dropped pricing for its OnStar 4G LTE data pricing by up to 50 percent. Chevy was one of the first companies to start putting available Wi-Fi hotspots in vehicles, and it remains an industry leader in offering Wi-Fi capability.
What Chevy Vehicles Have Wi-Fi Capability?
Every new Chevy vehicle (many 2015 vehicles, and all 2016 models and beyond) is available with the ability to become a Wi-Fi hotspot that can connect up to seven devices to the internet. This, along with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, means more engagement for families on a family vacation or individuals using their vehicles as a mobile office at a worksite.
Suburban, Tahoe, and Traverse Chevy vehicles, and their high family demands for connectivity, lead the pack on Wi-Fi usage, but other models are also using plenty of digital juice.
Low Chevy 4G LTE Wi-Fi Costs
While many models come with a complementary trial run of the Wi-Fi, after that time and data limit drivers who want to continue using the Wi-Fi will have to purchase more data. Fortunately, for a limited time at least, data plan prices are at an impressive low. For just $20 per month, families or individuals can enjoy up to 4 gigabytes of data. Other plans include 1 GB per month ($10), 10 GB per month ($40), or 20 GB for one year ($150).
