2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Powertrain Options 

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is equipped with a standard 2.7 L Turbo engine on Elevation, SLE, and Pro trims. This enhanced engine combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission pushes out 310-horsepower and 420 lb.-ft of torque. Standard on Denali and SLT trims, the 5.3 L V8 engine combined with 10-speed automatic transmission delivers 355-horsepower and 383 lb.-ft of torque.  

The powerful and efficient 3.0 L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine is standard on the AT4 trim and available on Denali Ultimate, Denali, SLT, Elevation, and SLE trims. This engine provides best-in-class diesel horsepower of 277 along with 460 lb.-ft of torque when mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission. And finally, the 6.2 L V8 engine is standard on Denali Ultimate and AT4X trims. This potent engine is ideal for big jobs with an output of 420 hp and 460 lb.-ft of torque.
